Temporary closure at May & Grace

Government Policy has now changed and we feel it is safest and most responsible to temporarily close the boutique. Your health and wellbeing is our priority and so we will only continue to see brides and find you your Dream Dress once the situation goes back to normal.

Our Love Letter

Dear Brides to Be,

We are so sad to have to close the boutique to all new appointments until further notice. We will only be opening for collections of gowns.

Our hearts go out to our brides who have had to suddenly change their wedding plans, postpone their wedding or scale it down in any way. We sympathise with you all having to deal with so much uncertainty at a time that should be filled with joy.

However - just think how doubly joyous your big day will be when it comes around. Everyone coming together to celebrate your love for one another plus the pure joy of human interaction. Your wedding party, loved ones and friends out in the fresh air laughing, talking and feeling their freedom again.

We will be contacting each and every bride this week that has an appointment booked with us in March and April. Your safety and our safety has to be top priority and the only way to slow the spread if this nasty flu is for us all to keep our distance.

We ask that if you have been contacted because your gown has arrived that we get you booked in for your collection ASAP. We feel that it is much safer in an ever changing situation that your wedding dress is safely in your hands.

We will continue to support you, we are not going anywhere, we are all in this together. Once all this craziness calms down we can come together once more for styling appointments and fittings if time allows.

So a quick re-cap -

1) if you have been contacted because your gown has arrived we need to book in your collection if you are well ASAP. We can only allow you and 1 other guest to this appointment.

2) other than collections the boutique will be closed, we can be reached on email and phone.

3) dress fittings will be scheduled with your seamstress much closer to your wedding day, again this allows for any last minute changes to dates.

4) We are still here to support you, you can call us anytime if you have questions or if you just want to vent!

Most importantly, stay safe, keep your spirits up and KEEP DREAMING! The sun will shine and you have your love to keep you going.

Thank you for your understanding. We are an independent small business and appreciate your support.

Love Emilie X

Cleaning

All visitors arriving for their dress collection will be asked to wash their hands upon arrival. We are following guidance to protect both our customers and staff, with regular hand washing and dis-infecting all door handles and surfaces in between each appointment. We kindly ask that you limit the numbers of guests that you bring to your collection, only 1 other guest is allowed at this time.

Health and Wellbeing

If you or any member of your bridal party are feeling unwell or have been in contact with anyone affected we kindly ask that you re-schedule your appointment and we will happily see you at another time.

Best wishes,

Emilie x
